A collection of poems on the messy beauty of being human
About
I've always been a writer at heart.
Working as a marketer for over a decade, I got to partly scratch that itch through my work. Content strategy, editorial, brand narratives: writing has always been at the center of what I do.
More recently, as AI tools have been reshaping what that work looks like, I've found I needed a new outlet. A place to keep practicing the skills I've built over time because the act itself matters to me.
As AI automates more and more of the creative and challenging parts of our work, there's beauty in doing something simply because you love it. Even when the output isn't perfect. Or even that good. I don't think it's supposed to always be.
The creative act is inherently messy. Words pour out of me late at night, on walks, listening to music, doing the most random chores. Writing has always been almost uncontrollable for me—both an emotional outlet and a creative one.
So I started writing poetry.
These poems are an expression of that—the messy, imperfect, deeply human kind of writing.
